I keep end-user fleets and the infrastructure behind them running. Most recently I handled endpoint management and enterprise IT operations for a mixed Windows, macOS and Linux fleet in Beijing; before that I read Networks and Cybersecurity at AUT. I like the problems that start as “it just stopped working” and end in a packet capture or an event log.

Experience

IT Engineer — Hanshow Technology Co., Ltd.

Jan 2026 – Jul 2026

Beijing, China

  • Endpoint support and device management across a mixed Windows, macOS and Ubuntu fleet.
  • Deployed and troubleshot DLP and zero-trust endpoint clients, including root-cause work on a Linux workstation where the MDM agent contended for DRM master and dropped the video signal.
  • Resolved Microsoft 365 authentication failures, Windows domain trust breakdowns and BitLocker recovery across the fleet.
  • Managed asset inventory and acted as liaison with hardware and software vendors.

Home Lab & Self-Directed Work

INFRASTRUCTURE

Self-hosted service stack

QNAP QuTS hero on ZFS running Docker workloads behind a hardened reverse proxy, with automated container update monitoring and per-service access rules.

NETWORKING

Segmented home network

A virtualised router appliance as a bypass gateway, with remote access designed around CGNAT constraints using tunnelled and mesh-VPN approaches instead of port forwarding.

PERFORMANCE

Media transcoding bottleneck

Traced stuttering 4K60 playback past the obvious server-side suspects to a client codec level incompatibility that was forcing a 4.5 fps server transcode — measured with VAAPI benchmarks against disk and RAM-disk sources.

FORENSICS

Anomalous egress investigation

Investigated a 209 GB upload spike using Windows SRUM data and proxy topology analysis to separate a compromised credential from a local device exfiltrating data.

Education & Certification

Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences

Auckland University of Technology

Major in Networks and Cybersecurity
